Which headers? 1 5/8, tri-y, 1 3/4 ???

I have a built 383 with NOS and was wondering if anyone has an Idea of what headers I should run. I was thinking of a set of Stans 1 5/8 Tri-y long tubes Or should I go with a set of 1 3/4 shorties, or should I get a set of 1 5/8 shorties? Thanx in advance.

Hmm, I'm oversizing mine a bit with 1 3/4" for my 355 but with the blower it will be well matched to the motor. I don't know your combo but for a serious 383 I would give you the nod for 1 3/4". Sometimes depending on the motor the smaller 1 5/8" primaries will make more power but assuming yours is a little crazy with the juice I'd stick to the 1 3/4", long tubes. I have shorties for easier fit with the a y-pipe in the stock position but if I did it again I would probably opt for the long tubes.
