who has the "hot cam"?

I've got the vortec heads and am wanting to use the lt4 cam. 400 hp is achievable with this cam and head combo.

My question is does this cam have a fuel pump lobe for a mechanical fuel pump?

Yes, it has the mechanical fuel pump lobe. I'm using it in my '84 BIrd, with Vortech heads and the HOT cam w/ 1.6 RR's.

GhoSST!

Nice to see you here. I took your advice, bypassed the "hot" cam and got what must be a "steaming" cam. If I go to 1.6:1 (if Comp ever gets them made) I'll be at .544/.544 222/233/114°. Lots of lope, however, and I'm almost forced to do something about the converter and PCM to get the most out of it.

Thanks for the replys. What size carb and intake are you using? Also what gears. Just curious because I've got the 3.73's and a 700r4. I plan on using the new "Air Gap" Performer Rpm manifold for the vortec heads. Do you think that this combo could get me into the 12's at 341 ft. above sea level?

I've got a 350 9 to 1 compression, Hot Cam, Air Gap, 750 Carb, L98 heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, 3.70 gears and a 5 spd. I ain't nowhere near 12's. I still am having some problems tuning but the car falls flat on it's face in 3rd. At best I think the car is good for lower 13's. Your heads probably are better than mine though.
