Temp?!

Okay, my friend has a 89 Form and it runs at around 215 degrees. I think that is normal considering my car runs VERY smooth but runs around 220. Do these cars run at high temps? I have a 160 and drilled a hole in the thermo to allow anti freeze to access the heads before 160. What do your guyz cars run at? BTW, his is bone stock G92 package 350.

Yep, my brother-in-law has a medium built 355 in a '82 Z28 and it runs 215+ all the time. He's done flex fans, tried electric fans, etc. Next we'll try the new radiator setup and see if that helps.

Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt.
Both my cars run very normal temps with 180 thermo's and 200/185 hypertech fan switches. On the highway both stay around the 1/4 mark on the guage. GTA only goes up to 220'ish while idling in traffic with the AC on for a long time. The Formula was the 305 until last week and did the same thing... basically as soon as it hit 200, fan came on and cooled it down.
I swapped in the 355 and am using the same stock aluminum radiator and it's running the same temps basically although it heats up quicker I suppose.
I do have factory oil coolers on both.
