Starter question

My starter is going bad. (Drawing 350+ amps)

Soon (hopefully within 2 months) I am going to swap from a 700R4 to a T-5. Are the starters the same? I am looking through summit and I dont see any for a stick shift car.

Starter nose design depends on the flywheel diameter, not the transmission. The database at the parts store may just need to have either an "AUTO" or "MANUAL" plugged in to retrioeve a part number (like the "LA" Autozone system), but it really shouldn't depend on the transmission.

Just match what you have to what they pull off their shelves - or rebuild your own.
