Questions reguarding CHP's 383 vs 377 article

Im looking to build a very similar 383 to what they built. My main difference will be the fuel system. They used a Victor Jr. intake and 750 cfm DP carb. Ill be using a SuperRam and a 58 mm TB. How would my setup compare to the carb setup? They achived 450 hp/ 458 tourque with their setup.

Thanks

i was amused when i read it also. i'm doing mine very similar myself. main difference is going to be the higher rpm power. hard to get an intake that works as well at high rpm as a victor jr. carb engines are usually a few hp over an injected, but injected is a smoother powerband and makes better torque. i'm not looking for the torque since it's not needed in an s10, but anyway. there are other ways to make up the hp difference. like in compression. they were fairly low on that area.

Since I already have the heads they used (TFS 23*) I was excited to see them using them. Jeez if I end up around 400hp with my setup Ill be thrilled.
