What is the best Head CC for a 383???

What is the best Head CC for a 383???

I want the best head that GM makes for a 383 that will give me at lest 320 Hp maybe more?

get a vortec. A vortec 383 will make 350 hp with all but the mildest cam.

CHP built a 383 with Trick Flow 23* heads and got over 400 hp with ease. They are 64 cc.

A 67cc head with a 9.1cc head gasket and a .015 inch deck height will make 10.25:1 with flat-top pistons.

A 64cc head would be better suited to an engine with a .030 inch deck height. I've heard good things about the Iron Eagle heads, as far as flow-ability versus cost, as well. you can use ANY SB intake on it, versus the Vortechs which require a special intake.

best head gm makes for that is the fast burn. at that hp range a simple 882 will cut it though.
