Will a heat shield or a heat wrap around my stater help out Heat Soak. Sometimes when my stater gets hot when I turn off the engine and restart it the engine will not turn over until the engine cools down?

 

It sounds like your starter may be going. That was also the case with my car. When the engine was hot, I had to crank it hard before it would start. The starter eventually stopped working all together. Is this the only one the car has had? If so, it may be time to replace it.

 

When your trying to start the car, does it do anything? click?

I second the opinion on the starter going south.

 

Nothing happen's no click nothing. It doesn't do anything at all.

 

How long has it been since the starter was replaced? You might want to go ahead and get that done if it's been awhile

 

if it's an auto, try wiggling the gear shifter while you turn the key. sometimes the nuetral safety switch won't get a good connection when it gets hot. if that fixes it, jus pull up your middle console and replace it. $20 at the zone.
