Could G-Tech be right?????
Could G-Tech be right????? I have friends who doubt it. I recently got a G-Tech to test out the new mods on my '89 IROC L03.
All I have done is added K&N Open air, Hooker Cat-Back with direct fit Catco Cat and an MSD Ignition coil. With the correct weight of 3500lbs entered, G-Tech Pro reports 235HP. I have not done 1\4 mile times yet. I got this reading at 105MPH while in Drive(instead of OD) going up Rt.75.
I just thought I would check with you folks to see what ya'll think. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I think that's way off, that is supposed to be RWHP correct? that makes it even more rediculous.
The 1/4 times are fairly accurate when used correctly.

When set up right they are fairly accurate. When not they are junk. If it told you that you had that much power you either a.) put in a way heavy estimate of your weight and/or b.) were running downhill.

Thanks for the replies folks. I thought it was a little high. I was thinking that my car was about 3500lbs. Maybe it's a little less.
I used this method: GVWR 4195 - RC 700 = 3495lbs. (700 being recommended capacity for our cars, or so I thought). Oh well, looks like a Weigh Station trip is in order. Thanks.
