What heads to go with?
I am having a 350 built to swap into my 305 GTA. I have located a used, ported and portmatched(at lingenfelter) Superram for the engine. I was thinking of going with the Lunati full roller equivelant to the Lingenfelter 319 cam. My machinist is a lunati dealer and can get me a good price. Here's the question;
Will the heads off of a stick 350 ported and port matched to the intake be able to flow enough to take full advantage of the the induction and cam? Also I have heard of people takeing corvette heads and using them. Will the mount up to the Super Ram? What casting numbers should I look for and out of what year model? Anyone with a similar setup please respond and help me out. What kind of power are you guys geting out of the motors? I will also be putting an MSD 6a box with the Timing retard controller along with the an MSD coil. The exhaust will going through SLP headers. The rest will have to remain stock for now.

The best thing to do I'dd say...
keep the ones you have with the 350, and:
- port and polish them yourself
- Go to a machine shop and have them do:
- enlarge valve seats to 2.02 intake/ 1.6 exhaust
- 3 angle valve job
- enlarged spring seats, bigger springs
- and screw in some studs
