305 to 350...
I have read all the posts about swapping in a 350 for a 305 and have found them to be extremely helpful. I only know how to make basic repairs and am trying to do some research before totallly screwing up my car. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any websites/videos/manuels for a beginner to learn more about making the swap and building engines in general?
J,
A Helms (factory) service manual should outline the removal and replacement in great detail. If you can find an older Motor manual, they did a decent job of covering it as well.
As for rebuilding, there are nearly endless resources. Rather than trying to get it all from a web site, you might want to pick up a book on the topic. These are among the better ones:
John Lingenfelter on Modifying Small-Block Chevy Engines: High Performance Engine Building and Tuning for Street and Racing
And

A web site with a decent overview cam be found here:

As far as websites go, TGO is the best IMO. I don't know of any good videos on building engines, but I'm sure they're out there. I like "Building the Small Block Chevy" by SA Design (I think that's who prints it). It was invaluble when rebuilding the motor in my truck and I'm sure I'll use it when I build the motor for my camaro.
