350 stock heads anyone???

ok, so im getting a deal on a 350 from a buddy. well, it's to good to pass up. So now im wondering which heads would work best on a 350, im talking stock heads, since i can get those cheaper then real performance heads. Like which heads came with the 350's in 3rd gens? I would most likely just get them ported, bigger valves and valve jobs done. but im not going to spend to much on this motor since it will prob only be in for a year or so. kinda of a budget 350. i wouldnt mind hitting 13's with it, but with ported stock heads i can see some set backs. So what casting numbers should i be looking for, not sure what kind of block it is yet ( forgot to get the casting numbers off of it and the heads it came with, i'll find out tomorrow ) and since the motor is all apart i'll put a performance cam in it before it's in the car. Any suggestions will help, thanks alot guys.

Describe the engine. A 350 is not a 350 is not a 350... There are differences, specifically in the piston top design.

Assuming flat top pistons... I'd look for something with 64cc chambers for a 350.

A set of 414's would be awesome ('70 LT-1 350/370hp) but good luck finding those, lol.

A set of 416s are 58cc, but they are very plentiful and if you put a little time and money in them, they perform very well.

I've always heard the 882 castings perform quite well and are easy to come by in the wrecking yards. I ran a set of 441 castings with 2.02/1.60 valves and a mild porting job with really good results on one of my 350's.
