Car is getting expensive to repair.
Car is getting expensive to repair.
It seems as if every month I am fixing this car. The engine and transmition are fine, but accessories and the like keep breaking. Stuff like electronics, sensors, water pumps, junk like that. It's getting rediculous. My mechanic says to beat the crap out of it for the summer and then sell it. Would you keep dumping money into a car that keeps breaking like that? I know there are thousands of people on this site with third gens in similat conditions. These cars are just old and beat on you know? But all my friends keep saying, "You don't think every other third gen owner has the same problems? That's just the way older cars are." Wht would you do?"
Just make sure most all the stuff you buy has a lifetime warranty and forget about it. Most all the Wells sensors from autozone have a lifetime warranty so you know it will be that last one you'll have to buy. Sooner or later you will run out of un-warrented stuff to break. Hold onto your car, you'll be glad you did.

Its all part of maintaining an "older car". As long as you keep replacing the things that tire out...your car will hold its value..let them go and sooner or later you end up wit APOS, Then forget selling, and call a wrecker
