Does my car have vacuum advance?

I have an '83 Trans Am with the L69 motor and I'm trying to figure out if I have vacuum advance so I can use some MSD parts...Coil, Module...with my HEI setup.

I think the computer controls any low load advance in stock 3rd gens. I think you have to go back to 1979 or 80 to have a vacuum advance from the factory.

If the engine has been moded than the vacuum advance looks like a silver canister on the side of the distributor.

HEI unit looks a little different than my unit, but you can see the canister I'm tanking about.
