Help with 2001 Isuzu Rodeo

It has the v6 only about 15,000 miles on it. When it sits for a couple hours and she starts it, the car idles rough for a while. Then the rpm shoots up high and it runs normal after that. Sometimes it does stall out. Any suggestions as to what it may be or what to look for or check would be appreciated. Thank you.

You really should connect an OBD-II data logging scanner to the vehicle. And this really not ThirdGen related, even though it is a GM vehicle question.
