is what I read correct??

is it true the 305 and 350 have the exact same bore just a different stroke length??? so technically you can take a 305 and lengthen the stroke to make it a 350?? and you can convert a tbi to a tpi so is it possible to make my peice o' crap 305 TBI and turn it into a torque monster of a 350TPI????? if so is it worth it or should i just get a crate engine(350) and build it up.
thanks
rick

The 305 has a smaller bore. That's why the chev 305 isn't competative against the ford 302.

Stroking a 305 gets a 334

305 = 3.736" bore x 3.48" stroke

350 = 4.001" bore x 3.48" stroke

Its the other way around. Different bore, same stroke.
