Hi... Really need some help here..

I'm in the middle of tuning in my car (PROMS) and I get really lots of knock counts/retard in the high load area. Timing is "only" 23 deg max and still It "knocks". I think it is false knocks, how do I know for sure?

- No exhaust leaking
- Exhaust not hitting anything
- Plugs look good

all Ideas are welcome!

Try posting this on the prom board with a much accurate info as possible about when it happens....

How much booost are u running? Any type of boost retard device installed currently?

If your main spark map is 23 degree are u sure your not getting more PE spark added in?(just curious sometimes u forget the little things)

Lots of the time u have to add fuel or reduce timing before the knock point that u see, once detonation happens , everything is hotter and its mor elikely to do it again...u need to eliminate the source, not always the same as where the knock is occuring on yoru scanner (try playing with timing or adding fuel before the occurence)

Is your distrib set at the timing that u have prgrammed in your chip?(base timing)

#3 Will check it out, try to add more fuel but I dont run lean...
