Head and cam question

Alright, I'm planning on running the LT4 hotcam and the stock L98 heads with updated springs. My question is that my neighbor thinks I'll have to have the valve seats, porcket or something like that machined or else I will break valves because of the lift on this cam. I have no idea on anything really related to heads and valvetrain geometry because I've never torn that far into an engine before. I'm just curious if anyone is running a combo like this and if they can advise me on anything that I'm supposed to do other than the actual cam swap itself.

I know someone must at least have some idea. Do I need to machine the heads or not?

I *think* and I stress think that a cam thats over .500 lift will cause problems with stock springs on L98 heads. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me.
