My 86 Camaro has been making a noise and the previous owner was a friend, and said it did the same thing for him. It seems to make a noise like metal rubbing against metal. But once the car is warmed up and has been running for awhile, its fine. The noise also becomes louder has I let my foot off of the gas. Does anybody have a clue what this could be.

 

does it sound like metal rubbing against the pavement... because my car makes a sound like that... i have no clue what it is.... maybe the torque converter (?) ?
