just the other day it lost alot of power sometimes when i floor it it gets up and goes but most of the time lately when i floor it it bogs down and hardly goes then shifts in second and bogs down more and the engine light comes on after driving about 30 minutes any help wanted please its a 91 305 z28 convertible auto and its only got 63000 miles

 

I dont know too much about TBI cars but it sounds like it could be low fuel preasure. You should definetly check for some trouble codes.

 

my exhuast smells really bad 2 do you think that it might be stopped up and thats causing the power loss

 

if you think the exhaust is plugged up have a friend give the car some gas and see if there is a nice flow of exhaust coming out.

 

Check your catalytic converter!

 

Same problem I had. Rotten egg smell. No power after about 20 MPH. Clogged cat!
