when i turn key fans will start but car wont please read im at the end cof my rope

i have a 92 trans am 350 tpi when i turn the key on sometimes my fans start to run but car wont start but if i turn my key on and fans dont startup my car will start what could this be

Thats kinda weird because the fans are supposed to come on when you ground the diagnostic link and turn the key on. This should not prevent the car from starting though. Need a techno weeny for this one....

Oh-ohhhh... The notorious VATS problem. Try using any spare key you may have. The resistor chip in your usual key may be worn. If it still happens, you may need the infamous "VATS bypass" trick...
