Engine won't start
Engine won't start
I have an 1986 z-28 camaro with a TPI engine (305). I've never had issues with it running after an initial tuneup less than two months ago. When I was driving down the highway today, all my electronics flashed off and on multiple times and I lost control of accerleration - the car was turning off and on. Then it turned off totally and will not start again. I've checked all the fuses, battry connection, and I am getting spark. The air filter isn't plugged. Sparkplugs are new. What could it be? I think it might be the ECM, so I unplugged it and tried to start it. No go. the engine still tried to crank, but wouldn't turn over. Yes, it does try to crank with the ECM plugged in, but won't turn over.
HELP ME PLEASE!
HELP ME PLEASE!
I had a problem just like this I was driving down the road and car just cut off and would not restart it would turn over and i was even getting a spark on the plugs but a no go, in the end all i replaced was the ignition coil and it fired right up took me abit to figure it out but that all it was.
Update -
My fuel pump is good. Unfortunately, it's not recieving voltage. I can hook it up directly to another fuse and have the fuel pump run. The line is good up to the fuel relay, located by the driver's left foot on the wall. Not sure where to go from there. Haven't seen any fusable links yet.

Okay, Here's what I know.
For some reason, in the fuel pump relay, the coils arenot getting electricity. So no magnetic field to cause a connection and get voltage to the fuel pump.
I bypassed the relay by hooking a wire to the ignition spot on the fuse box - now it gets voltage directly every time the key is turned. Not a permanent solution, and only works sometimes because the mix of gas and air has to be just right. I thought only the computer told the injectors when to open and close to allow gas in, but it seems like I can flood my engine when I leave the fuel pump on. I might be wrong... could some one explain the process in more detail for me?
Fuel pump relay - where do all these wires go?
gas - do only the injectors allow gas in the engine, or can the fuel pump force it in?
Which lead in the computer harness should go to the fuel pump relay?
