trans to engine bolts, all the harnesses, hoses, linkages, motor mount bolts. unbolt the ac compressor and tie it out of the way, if you have ac. i'd take the radiator out. you can look and pretty much tell what has to be unhooked.

i would also take out the distributor and set it to the side sometimes its easier to go ahead and leave the trans bolted up and unhook the driveshaft and pull it all out at once so its easier to stab everything back in later (let me know if im wrong ede)

I pulled the engine and trans together. If you go that route, make sure you unbolt the torque arm also.I didn't take the starter off,and it hung up on the motor mount a little. Also if you unbolt the torque arm,it may move on you a little bit.Just be carefull.

Oh,and don't forget the ground straps that connect from the back of the heads to the firewall.

I took mine out without the tranny. The only way to do it though was to remove the distributor and then the intake so that I could get at the top bolt. This will also make it easier to get at some of the ground straps in the back of the engine and some of the wiring harnesses in the back. -=-mike
