How do u check the ESC? My car won't idle/has horrible throttle response

How do u check the ESC? My car won't idle/has horrible throttle response
I have a scantool, TPS is fine .54 or .52 v. I'm pretty sure the IAC is ok usually around 60 when idling at the right speed 750 rpm. I was wondering what the ESC is? (electronic spark control)maybe and what its readings should be?

Is this a MAF problem since i just read someones similar problems and that's one some of you suggested? I know the readings went up with engine load. some help on checking that would be nice also.
