Pressure to high?

Hey, just wanna check and see what you guys think about this....

Over the last few days, my engine ('79 Z28 350) has been running a little rough. I think this is because of the sudden heat wave we just got and is time for a little bit of a tune-up, because the carb was tuned in the winter.

Anyway... a few days ago, I fixed my oil pressure guage, which hadn't been working right for quite awhile (jumping around alot). I just did a fresh oil (10w-30) and filter change about 300kms ago, and oil is still perfectly clean. The engine doesn't burn any oil.

Now... It just seems like my oil pressure is a little high, becuase I know that the highest ay sbc should be is 60-65psi max. I have a pic here showing were the needle is at idle and were it is at regular driving speeds.

Any thoughts?

Thats about where mine is. I dont think you need to worry about it. When my engine is hot I get about 30 at idle 50-60 cruising around. With the engine cold I get 65 at idle. What are the symptoms of your engine running rough.

Ok... oil pressure sounds cool then, was just curious about why it was so high at idle.

The running rough is just a rough idle, bit of a tapping sound (exhaust leak, im sure) and a bit of a weird idle condition:

-start it one time, it will idle at about 500 rpm semi-roughly but should be at 750, where I set it. later on in the day, I start it at it will do the same thing, but at 1000rpm!!

I dunno what causes that, other than maybe a bad carb tune for the warmer weather?
