Location Of Oil Pressure Switch (Not Sender)

Ok, as far as I can tell, 1986 seems to be a strange year for these cars when the oil pressure sender/switch is conserned. They seem to be two different enteties.

Ok, in that pic you can see my bell shaped Oil Pressure SENDER. But also there is another plug that goes to the Oil Pressure SWITCH. Unfortunately, I cannot find this switch anywhere. It needs to be plugged into the block. What is wierd however, is that if it isn't already plugged into the block, oil should be leaking out from the hole. The wire is not long enough to go too far from its current location so it has to be attached near where the wire already is. Does anyone know where it is, and do they have pics of it? A picture would really help. The Haynes and Chilton's manuals are useless for this thing.

My '86 TPI has the pressure transducer (for the dash gauge) in the position you indicate. Just below that (between the transducer and the oil pressure port in the block) is a 'T' fitting, and the auxilliary oil pressure switch for the fuel pump is connected to the open port on the left (driver) side of that 'T' fitting.

Looks like someone removed the "log" that the sender and switch screw into, unless your sender is covering it completely.

By the dist there should ba a small tube screwed into the block and sticking up parallel to the dist. Off of that and pointing to the rear should be the "log", another tube that is hex shaped and has a hole in it for the guage sender and one for the switch. The switch is kinda on the side of the log towards the driver side.
Its funny because my "log" is long enough that you can see about 1/4" of it past the sender (mine is an 85, same setup as 86).

Do you have pics of this "t" fitting or "log"? Looks like I need to pick one up somewhere.

No, sorry I don't. Can't even get a good pic of it on mine, its buried behind and under wires. I can however attempt to draw out one in CAD.

It's a little difficult to see in the photo, so I've labelled them:

lol..

I wonder if I can buy these at oreilly's or something. I don't want to go digging around our crappy junkyards to find something that may or may not be there. F-bodies are fairly rare at the one I go to.

I could see if I can get one from Hawks.
