Could really bad rings cause a rough low idle?

I know the rings are bad, lots of blue smoke when i drive. But i do have a rough low idle and i was just wondering if the bad rings could be the cause.

Yes they could due to too much blowby, but if your rings are that shot, I'd be more apt to question the integrity of the rest of the motor. Induction, valvetrain, ignition, etc.
