Quick! How do you get the PCV valve off?

Quick! How do you get the PCV valve off?
For some reason, the PCV valve on the driver side cover won't come off. The metal part will come part way out, but that's it. The grommet doesn't seem to move at all. Is there some sort of trick?

No trick, they just pull out of the valve cover.

The grommet should remain in the rocker cover. The PCV likely has several years worth of varnish accumulation baked on, preventing it from sliding out the grommet easily. Possibly a little twist while pulling would help the situation, but it shoudl just pull out. Whatever you do, don't replace it with a Fram replacement (long story - trust me).

Yes, it should juts pull right out of the valve cover. If its stuck, just use some fishing line and "floss" inbetween the PCV and the surface where it goes in to break it free.
