Possible clearance issues...
I posted this in the TPI forum, but maybe I will get more responses here...
I have an 1989 Iroc. As you all know it has the 350TPI/Automatic. I just purchased a Hydraulic Roller cam for it. The cam is the Crane Powermax and it has an advertised duration of 284/292 and a lift of .509"/.528". Will this be a problem with the stock pistons with valve clearance? I also understand that the PROM will have to be reflashed but will it run decently in the meantime until i can get it reflashed?

Probably won't be a problem with the pistons, but your retainer-to-guide clearance will be.
That's a lot of cam for a stock PROM.

machine the head, replace the springs and trash the factory rotator set up and use aftermarket retainers, while you're at it might was well machine the head and trash the pull out studs.
