sharing of a code 34 experience

i was working on my girlfriends 87 firechicken with a 2.8 in it. car was running absolutely awful. the gages were going nuts, the car would stall, ses light on ect. well after pulling numerous code 34's i replaced the mass air sensor. still code 34. turns out the whole time it was a bad ground connection.

next time you get a code 34 keep it simple i would have saved lots of work!

90,

Sorry to hear about your mis-diagnosis. MAF error codes always require a thorough check of the wiring, ductwork, and relays. At least you now have a spare!
