I cannot find the RPO "6HL" in the '84,'89,or'91 factory service manuals. Generally your gear ratio RPO codes will begin with a "G". Codes that begin with a "6" appear to be spring related and the rear disc brake RPO is "J65", one of which I recently scored at a wrecking yard with Posi and 3:42 gears($300). It will be going in the Z just as soon as it comes back from the paint shop!

LOW performance people should drive low performance vehicles!

I'm assuming the code is from the axle tube. The axle tube code won't tell you if it's disk brake or not. You need the RPO code J65 for rear disk brakes.

6HL axle code:
1984 3.23 locking diff (could be posi or open locker)
1988 2.77
