guess what i broke now!

anyway stupid me last night showing off anyway i hit the gas from a stop and i am spinning like crazy then the car start to vibrate and it almost sounds like one of my rotors are ratteling around. so i stop do the oh $hit oh $hit line thinking i blew out one of my tires. but all looks fine so i park thinking its just from spinning to much. so today i go to drive to work and the sound is still there, i check to see if all nuts are on good then i think its the bareings on my drive shaft and no. so i take off one tire and turn it by hand and i can here that same moveing around parts sound comeing from the diffrencial (sp). so i just dropped it off at a shop and i call tomorrow to find out whats up. is this my falt>like did i just spin to much or was it bound to happen from something commeing loose in there? i would think it would no brake so easy i mean it was only spinning for like 3 seconds. the car can still drive and trun with out locking up and there is no loose of power just that sound, the guy says he knows what it is. any ideas? and is it normal to brake so easy like that?

if it coming from the diff(rear) then chances are it's screwed. the ring gear or pinion may have lost some teeth. if it's a posi rear it could also be the clutch pack has bitten the dust. a drum rear? check the drum brake assembly to make sure nothing came loose as well. you never know......

It may just be the wheel bearing. They will make BAD noises when going out. Fix that and I bet your problem will be fixed. It could also be the axle shaft bearing which in the differential housing on the shaft. I bet its one or the other.

i guess all that praying came through LOL. it turned out my old mechanic really is a retart and the diff people at this other shop are just as stupid. because i brought it to a new place that my friend told me about and the second it was up on the hoist what do they see, a loose u join (that 2 other mechanics could not see). that just shows there is alot of messed up mechanics out there, make sure u got one u can trust, not like my old one.

thanks people

yeah i was going to say it sounds like a u joint issue. I just bought a new camaro and didnt know it had aftermarket u joints that needed to be greased...well it hadnt been driven all winter and so i took it ripping around for about a day and a half and then the whole car would start shaking if i tried to drive anything above the speed limit....basically turned the existing ones to dust....new ones go on tommorow.
