does posi make difference?
ok guys i just purchased a posi unit with 3.73 gears and will be installing it in a couple weeks. Right now i have a "one legged" unit with 3.08. I noticed when i try to floor it off the start, my car shakes because the car is trying to grab traction. With the new posi and 3.73 gears will i be getting off the start better? Will i be getting better acceleration when im at crusing speeds? im just curious the benefits i will get when i will put it in. I appreciate any info. Thanks!!

The car will try to accelerate harder under all conditions. At any given car speed, the engine will be at a higher RPM than with the other gear; if you can imagine what it would be like having an additional lower 1st gear, and losing your highest gear, then that's about what it will be like.
If it has wheel hop now, it will be far worse with the higher ratio gear. The cure is LCA relocation brackets. They are cheap and easy to put on, either before or after the rear is installed.
