I would like to know how much horsepower, quarter mile time, etc. can one get out of the stock 350 Tuned Port head. I know the head is just a part of the picture, but just how far can you push them. I would like to know before I put screwed in studs and guide plates on my set. They need a rebuild also. I hate to dump money in them. I want to run 12s (on the motor) and I would love for the stock heads to get me there. Decisions, Decisions. Thanks, Brandon

 

Without a doubt they could take you there. If you have some money to put in them that is. Those screw in studds will come in usefull after you put strong springs and full roller rockers with matching cam.

Have a machine shop do this:

have your valve seats enlarged and put some bigger, stainless steel, valves in there; 2.02 and 1.6.

3 angle valve job

port and polish them, do the same for your intake.
