Idling problem
Idling problem
Ok, when heading to work today my car wouldn't idle when it was cold. It'd run/accelerate just fine, tho- it just would not idle. It'd just drop it's RPMs until it dies. However when it's at operating temperature it'll idle just fine (which is what happened after I got off the highway heading to work). It's been running fine all week until this morning, which is the odd thing, and I haven't touched the engine at all in the past few days.
I've recently replaced much of the ignition system (cap, rotor, wire, plugs) and last weekend replaced the alternator and battery (neither of which I think is the cause but I thought I'd better mention it). All the vacuum hoses are new, although I'd admit that it's possible one could've worked itself loose between last night and this morning... The choke is working, too- I know that for sure as the engine was in fast idle when I started it this morning, but as soon as the choke went off it started having trouble idling (maybe it's coming off too fast?).
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can check out to see what's going on?
Thanks!
