Am curious, did GM produce an RS with an aluminum intake in 92? or any other year that would fit a 305? I don't think it did, but really don't know .. Anyone?

I think we need a little more info. GM has been using aluminum intakes for many years. My '86 LG4 has aluminum, had a '79 Caprice 2bbl with aluminum, have an '87 LB9 TPI that's aluminum.

What exactly are you trying to do? Carb? TBI? TPI?

I hadn't checked it yet, but was thinking the stock 305/tbi had a cast iron intake.. maybe not. Was Curious tho if it was stock or an upgrade that could've been put on it at the factory.

AFAIK there is no such thing as an "upgraded" TBI motor from the factory. That's pretty much the base V8. The first possible upgrade from the factory would be putting a better induction system on it.

Also AFAIK, the TBI manifold is aluminum.
