HELP! Bad oil leak!

My brother's 92 rs v-6 is leaking bad. It is coming from up around the distributor. I have the distributor off right now looking at it, but all I can see is that is coming from around there. Please help. Any ideas

I took off the distributor and there isn't even a gasket there. Should there be one. If there should, where did it go? I guess I gotta call chevy to get one. Autozone said that they don't carry it if there is one.

There should be a rubber O-ring on the dist.

These ALWAYS leak on 2.8/3.1s. Very common.

If you touch it its probably hard as a rock.

Should be able to get one at the dealer or most auto part stores.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot, but I know that there is no gasket on the distributor right now and there wasn't when I took it off. I guess if there is supposed to be one, that would cause an oil leak.

Should be a grove below the base of the dist. for the O-ring.

Did you check the oil pressure sendin unit? I replaced mine after an oil leak from around the distributor.

#1 is the cylinder that is the most foward.

I belive on the 2.8s it is the front passenger side. (I don't have one in front of me )
