single plane efi manifold

I am in the process of building a 383 and was looking at using Accel/LPE efi conversion kit for a single plane manifold. I was wondering if a set of victor jr. heads (box stock) along with a victor jr intake modified for the efi would be over kill. Also, would the converted manifold be able to fit under the stock formula hood?

thanks,
matt

Whether it's overkill or not depends on the rest of the engine combo. Even if it's overkill a shaply tuned EFI system will still run great, even if it won't add a ton of HP due to the rest of the combo holding it back.

As for fitting under the hood, I really doubt it. The Vic Jr. is pretty tall. And you still have to fit the throttle body and a decent sized air cleaner above it. There isn't much hood clearance on a 3rd gen Firebird.
