305 tpi, bigger restriction heads or tpi???
I'm just trying to figure what's the bigger restriction on my motor ('90 tpi 305) the intake or the heads. I have a line on a set of L98 aluminum heads and I'm considering these heads with a beefier than stock cam. I just want to know if the changes will be worth it or if the stock tpi will just end up choking things up anyays. Thanks.

Restriction to flow (as measured on a flow bench), or restriction to power?
Simple flow, probably the heads. Restriction to power, though, brings the pulse tuning effect of Tuned Port Injection into play. So, increasing the flow capacity of the heads may improve flow, but the RPM limitations of TPI will smack the improvement hard at the same RPMs your power is being restricted now.
Better heads, better exhaust, ported plenum, shorter/fatter runners, fuel pressure & PROM tuning would have a significant effect on power, though.
