oxygen sensor

Any tricks at getting this out?

I found enough room to do the initial 'break', but not enough room even on the 12 point end of the wrench to get a hold if it to turn it again.

Break lines are in the way, the spark plug wires/loom are in the way.. the A Arm is in the way. The bolt flange for the exhaust pipes in the way.

Only easy way I can see something working is a deep socket with a side missing?

is this the special O2 sensor removal tool?

pretty much my friend just had this make shift one that wasnt even really a deep socket but same sort of idea. It was really long and just had a slit cut down the side. With it it took about 5 minutes to change the sensors.

Suppose I could just go buy a deep socket and grind a side off..

I've already loosened it, just can't turn it any more.

just need a grinder... it would take a long time with a file.

there's sockets made for it as well as wrenches, crowsfoot wrenches. just a matter of finding the right tool, or several tools to fit and provide clearance.

Princess Auto has those o2 sockets here in London. Try the location in Langley. It is cheap and it works great!
