305 TPI - stock. The car was running rough, OK but it didn't quite feel right - turns out the #8 wire wasn't connected. Here's the dumb part: when I went under there to attach it, I found my plug socket still on the plug (how or why escapes me, probably had to drop some friends off at the pool or something). I have driven the car maybe 100 miles like this (on 7 cylinders). Would there be any need for me to do the plugs again or can I just connect the thing and go from there? It WAS a relief to finally track down the problem though.

you can connect it and go on from there..
athough that cyl has probly been dumping fuel into the exhaust.... so you could have harmed your cat....
as for the plug its self, i would pull it first just to see if the socket cracked it by hanging on it.... if it looks good, put it back in.
