HSR w/ this combo???
Hey guys. Well Im almost done with my rebuilt engine but not sure what intake to go with. I have a 355 with pro topline 180 cc heads and a ZZ4 cam. The rearend is a 3.27 posi and I have a 2000-2200 stall as well. I was going to do alot of porting to the TPI intake I already have but get an HSR most likely in a few months. Well I have decided to maybe get the HSR now if other think I should go that route. So that is my question. The bottom end is slightly rebuilt with new cast pistons, stock rods and crank, but ARP main and rod bolts. So I know I wont be able to rev much past 6k RPM's alot. I know that the HSR's like to shift around 6200 or so usually. With the heads and cam I have, it sounds as though a ported TPI would be the way to go because each of those parts is for low to midrange power. I would have a TON of torque on my hands and probably more than I need. If I go the HSR route, I just want more airflow into the engine which will be good but more for the upper RPM power that it can give me. Will this be a bad idea with the heads and cam already picked out or will I still see gains? This is mainly just a street car but want to run with topend cars once in a while on the highway. So if anyone has anything close to this setup or can just give me advice, I would appreciate that. Also let me know if there is anymore information I need to provide for you. thanks.
