2 tenths in the 60 nets 1 tenth in 1/4 ?
Put the new BFG DR's on, 225-50 15 with small
diameter so as not to ruin my gear ratio. They hooked good cutting my 60 from 2.27
(14.52 @ 96.24) to 2.0x for three runs;
14.44 @ 93.5, 14.63 @ 92.77, and 14.76 @ 94.06. I thought better short times were supposed to result in much better 1/4's ?
Car was not changed at all from the 14.52 run in Aug to these runs. I must have put a whole 80-90 miles on the car between the two times at the track so car variables are small and the car did run good. Only thing
I can think of is the drag difference in the rear tires with the street tires run at 35
psi and the DR's at 23. Also my friends LS1
2000 Corvette ran for the first time and had
3 runs with 100.xx mph for top speed which seems rather low. Maybe weather conditions
(pressure and humidity). This Sat was unseasonably warm in the northeast.
