Mkos,

It always helps to know what year/engine you are referring to. The factory specs for the intake-to-head bolts is 15-20 ft/lbs. The intake runner-to-plenum bolts are also 15-20 ft/lbs. The throttle body-to-plenum bolts are 18 ft/lbs, and the fuel rail-to-intake manifold bolts are 18 ft/lbs. As you can see, a safe number to use for all major fasteners on the TPI intake parts would be 18 ft/lbs, and that's an easier specification to remember.

Since you're dealing with steel fasteners threading into aluminum parts, I'll throw in my usual reminder to use anti-seize compound on all the fasteners. In the same thought, if you hadn't removed the distributor bolt until the plenum recently came off, you'll be wise to anti-seize the hold-down bolt for distributor clamp as well. You'll appreciate it later. There is very little space to get a wrench in after the TPI is assembled, and you'll need all the help you can get.

15-20 ft/lbs seems light to me...I think it should be like 35 ft/lbs, have to consult a manual to be sure....

I believe its more like 32 lb-ft using 3/8-16 bolt with 9/16 bolt head.
Along the same line (kinda), what size is the hole on the rear/top of the block that could be used to hook up an oil pressure guage? what size threads/fitting?
Thanks

pretty sure there are 2 levels of torque to be done. I thought the first was like 15lbs and the second was between 25 and 30lbs.
