OK im building a 383 i want like around 450 rwhp.
I alrdy have the bottom end i want crank,rods,pistons
Now there r just some little parts i want to ask u guys where i should get them ok what about the timing chain its a 00 block roller of course zz4 crate motor block. I want a double roller where could i get 1 also what about a cam button. Oil pump and oil pan which 1's would u recamend. Its a 4 bolt main should i use main studs?? Just if some1 could list all the little things that r usually over looked and where should i get them.
i alrdy have the cam intake and heads in mind i want the cc306 cam,fast burn heads, and mini ram III.
any oppinions would be great thanx i want the engine to turn out best as possible.

 

maybe the reason no one has answered in the past is because it's a very simple and genaric questions you're asking. pick up a jegs catalog and you'll find everything you're looking for. reemmber you aren't in a chat room, type your words out, makes it esier to read and if it's easier to read you may get mopre response to your thread.

 

Im sure people can read it fine and jegs doesnt show much for a double roller for the newer block. What is it with people on here get huffy over little things and i know ur gonna say u wasnt but sounded like u was. Also if it is simple that means it wouldnt be that hard to help out this is a board used for help usually.

 

u can get all yer parts from a paw catalouge or a local machine shop. Things tah r over looked in a 383 build are clearancing and balancing.
What size rods r u uzin? 5.7"? 6.0"? did ya know u might have some issues clearing the cam depanding on the size of the base circle?
Try a search of this board for "383" or "stroker" dude. There are alot of people who have allready asked these q's in the past even recently.

 

ive looked alot i know about the cam n all im using 6.0 rods just wanted to know if people r usuing cam buttons and double rollers.This is my first engine build with this much hp in mind.

 

Stay under 500 lift and you won't have cam clearance problems. Want more lift? Get 1.6 rockers.
