valve covers making annoying rattling .....how do i tighten rockers....

so i figure my rockers are rattling alot and making my car sound like ****, so how do i tighten these a bit to stop the annoyance? if i can.

try changing timing or octane rating of your fule, i'd bet it's not a lose rocker. if by chance it is try doing a search and you'll find a lot of how to info.

ive ran a buncha searches to try to find this noise.....


i only suggest loose rockers because i just tore open a l98 of my friends and his rockers were pretty loose....

at first i thought the rattling were my trans lines touching but it isnt them

i had pretty much the same problem on my 350.

a friend of mine had to set the valve lash cause one of the rockers were loose.

after a few days the noise came back it turned out the nut for the rocker kept backing off bought new ones and so far so good
