New project car: 1984 Trans Am!

I purchased a very clean, 84K mile 1984 Trans Am last night for the small sum of $200. The underneath is very clean and looks like it never saw snow.

What is the catch? It had a small fire in the engine bay. The hood is shot, the windshield is heat-cracked and the firewall needs to be repainted. Otherwise, this is a very clean car!

It is dark charcoal gray with silver ground effects.

My plans are:

-Yank the wimpy 305 and install a LS1/LS6 with a 6spd
-Keep the outside looking 100% stock with the exception of new 17"rims (Ronals? )
-update the interior to 85-92 style
-8 pt. roll cage
-12 bolt rear end
-1LE brakes
-fiberglass power bulge replica hood, painted same as body

I'll have some pics up as soon as I can.
