lost the iroc today, electrical fire
so i just got back from a 2 month vaccation and this morning i fired up the iroc in the driveway just to let it run for a while because it had been sitting for so long. after about 5min of idling i shut it off and went inside. well.....
not 5 minutes later my mom comes screaming downstairs saying my car is smoking. i look outside and there are giant flames shooting out of the back of the hood. after a few frantic minutes with a fire extinguisher, and a few choice words, the fire dept arrives to put out the rest of it. my wiring harness, my distributor, everything electrical....gone. i dont know how this could have happened. the fire started in the harness where it comes out of the firewall but it spread to the fuel rail and thats when the whole thing went up. any ideas on what to do now?

its repairable, definitly. but i dont have the time or money to do so. since the wiring harness is already gone, i think it would be a good excuse for a 4bbl swap. anyway, i cant keep it. as much as i thought id never do so, i put it up for sale today. $1900 takes it all. man im going to miss that car. it was the first car i ever really built by myself. what a torque monster. she would spin into 3rd gear before the tires finally bit the road. goodbye jenna.......

That sucks man. I hate to hear that. Is it repairable at all or is it trashed?
