mod plan

ok this is what i plan to do

Holley SysteMax street performance pkg. that includes:

-Lunati Hydraulic Camshaft with lifters
218*/218* @.050
268/268 advertised duration..not sure what that means ???????
.457"/.457" Lift
110* Lobe seperation
105* Lobe centerline?
dual plain intake manifold.

Summit Roller rocker arms 1.5 ratio, 3/8" stud

comp cam valve springs and

Holley Streeet Avenger carb 570 or 670 cfm with electric choke

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OR

Summit Cam kit

214*/224*
.442"/.465"
Lobe seperation 112*

Good for RPM 1,500-4,000

Summit rockers-same as above

comp cam valve springs

Holley Street Avenger carb, same as above.

My question is this, will this setup work?

85z28, 305 4bbl, auto, with shorty headers, hi output ignition, chrome aircleaner....

I am not going to be racing my car, just want it to sound and run like its got some bawls Ive been thinking about this system and it seems ok but i wanted some advice as to if i should still go smaller on the cam and maybe the carb to? I dont wanna go with a 204 cam maybe a 212 will be ok though. This is the most major mod i will be doing, i dont plan on changing the heads just some of the valvetrain. Please advice and opinions, yes i said opinions are appreciated.

I would go with the summit cam if you have to choose between those two. I like the Compcam 212/218 better for the 305.
