speedlimiter

on the 305 TBI there is that speed limiter right ?? well i started ****in cuttin wires to my computer trying to get the right one and i can't find what wire it is... and now i gotta *** damn mess of nothing but cut wires everywhere like 5 green wires are cut and still cant find the right one.... anyone help?

umm

bad way to go about things..

there's a tutorial on this site about making a switch to turn it on/off

but i think that you can't use your speedo when you activate it.. can't remember


i think you can get a custom PROM that disabled the speedlimit

that was a bad idea, the way to disable the speed limiter is to find the VSS wire that leads into ur ecm, and cut that one, solder some wires onto both cut sections, and put a simple on/off switch on the other end of wires, so that when u want to fly, just turn the switch off, and the ecm wont be able to tell how fast ur going, so it wont try to limit the speed

A custom E-prom and the switch method are the 2 ways to disable the limiter.

I don't really know what to say about the method you tried. Theres usually never exact same color wires. If you have 5 greens like you say there should be a variation. Green with a orange stripe, black stripe, brown stripe, & so on.
