I just got done installing a new cam and removing the smog pump, and now my car won't start. There's some smoke coming out o f the AIR tube but I figured that was normal, and everything else is fine. It turns over but never ignites. Any suggestions?

 

make sure the timing is really close, the wires are in the right order, and that it's sparking wen youre cranking...

 

I figured out why its not starting, the valves aren't opening. I installed lunati hydraullic roller lifters and they had the pushrod sit lower the stock, would this effect it?

 

yes... you need longer pushrods then.... get a pushrod length checker and go from there...

 

I put in the longer pushrods, and no start. I replaced all the spark plugs and set timing, and no start. I'm completely our of ideas and desperately need help.

 

I;m not getting any spark and I have a new cap and rotor. Will too big of plug gap cause this I have a .046 i think. Ive tried everything Ican think of and still have no car and I'm going on 8 days without it. Please help.
